SPYDER MUSTER 2020 / Re: Accommodation for Spyder Muster 2020
« Last post by babeshorty on 16 April, 2019, 05:42:52 PM »
we would love to join everyone but we are having to wait for our holidays for 2020 to come up so we can't do much until then.  But we are looking into trailering the spyder both ways and use the roof top tent to sleep in.  So finger crossed we can do this one next as a anniversary trip  :bananajam: :cheer:

SPYDER MUSTER 2020 / Re: Accommodation for Spyder Muster 2020
« Last post by noboot on 16 April, 2019, 02:21:40 PM »
There are a few of us that have booked already as well from NSW & Tassie.
We looked at trucking 20 Spyders over but the cost was so far out of the ball park at $76,000  return that is $3,800 per Spyder.

I'm not up to riding that far so I intend putting my Spyder on a trailer and towing it over.
It would be nice to meet up with others heading the same way and doing it by convoy.

Cheers,   noboot  (Ron)

Hi Guys and Girls
Myself and Sharon ( Adelaide ) have booked accommodation at resort. We intend staying around WA for a couple weeks after the muster.  Met up with a couple of other Spyder riders last Sunday who also hope to attend, so started up convo about traveling up and back. Shipping up from east to west I believe is expensive, however back loads east can be much cheaper. Our intention, by then we hope to have our trailer capable of taking the spyder, I will be riding up, Sharon driving with trailer.
So, wish to start discussion with others that wish to set up a convoy,  a cluster of eastern and central Spyder Ryders heading  to the muster.
Ex Adelaide , average 820 km a day will take 3 days…. NO time to take in any site seeing.
Average 625 km a day , 4 days , more relaxed and maybe  take in some of the sights.
Lets start convo… Cheers Dutchie ( Tony)

Dropped off the F3 this morning and the guy's out there were more forthcoming with information. Wingfield is a short term change due to staff numbers so just my bad timing I guess. They couldn't say how long this was for but it was kinda nice to see their other workshop. Mostly BRP stuff however there were a few new Harley's being dropped off there while I was hanging around.

Anyway will wait and see what they find is wrong.

I wonder if that's because they've moved all the Can-Am/BRP stuff from the 'old showroom' that was down in front of their service centre up to the 'new showroom' that's opposite their main Harley outlet?  :jungle:

They have recently shuffled just about everything around, I thought to get better & closer show room spaces & to provide for some dedicated service facilities nearby.... maybe Wingfield is considered 'nearby' so that's where the 'dedicated' Can-Am/BRP space ended up?!  :boo:   :whistling:

I'm not quite following or keeping up with all their changes or the rationale behind them.... it seems to be a bit of a backward step, doesn't it? Get a bigger 'n better show room to move all the BRP products into one place & then move the service facility waaayyy out to Wingfield so that if someone wanted to check out all the new BRP gear & maybe spend some money on all the BRP goodies it would be nice'n handy?!  :banghead:

South Australia / Peter Steven's Adelaide don't service Spyder's in the City

Before anyone starts, yes I've poohooed PS for being over priced and have not yet taken my ride there to be serviced. That said I have an issue with my F3 and since I work on the same street in the city as PS I figured I'd give em a try. I'm thinking nothing major is wrong and am kind a hoping the belt is loose but I can't work out what it is, so I dropped in there this morning to discuss. I was promptly advised they don't service Can-Am's there. I have to take it to Wingfield where PS service Spyders, Quads and SeaDoo's. So I've booked it in for tomorrow but I'm thinking I could have gone to Micks in Gawler as it'll take the same amount of time to get there from Mt Barker. Fingers and toes crossed that I've not made a mistake here.

Anyway, does anyone know why they don't service Spyder's in the city and since when? Rob had his F3 serviced there in the last month so must be a very recent change.

Are you casting nasturtiums on my carefully applied protective patina of dust & bug juice again Stu??! I don't know why, it's just getting even enough coverage for it to begin adding to the 'pearlescent' effect of the paint..... altho I guess that could be the reflection off the embedded bug wings?!  :scared:

In my defence, I really haven't been up to ryding it in the rain for a while, so it hasn't been washed too often lately!  :whistling:
